NASCAR In Heels: Dress like your favorite car

The paint schemes catch your eye every week, but would you consider
dressing like them?  Credit: Robert Laberge/Getty Images for NASCAR
Whether they have had the same one for years, or a different one every week, a paint scheme is one of the most recognizable “features” a driver has. You can’t tell me that you do not think of Danica Patrick when you see the GoDaddy car, or Jimmie Johnson when you see his signature Lowe’s paint scheme, so wearing these signature colors could be another way to show your driver some support. Without wearing anything too loud or tacky, that is!

It was this page that inspired this article. A friend of mine found these art inspired outfits, so we thought why not do the same with some NASCAR paint schemes? The following are my outfits to go along with their respective paint schemes. I will note that this was not the easiest task. I didn’t want to make the outfits too bright and wild, but that is pretty hard because these paint schemes sure are.

First up is a super cute outfit for summer time that is inspired by Carl Edwards’ Fastenal paint scheme. The dress and sweater are both from Victoria’s Secret. The sandals are from Amazon, and the sunglasses, ring, necklace are all from Forever 21. This outfit would be perfect for an afternoon out, or even an afternoon at the racetrack.

The next outfit seems to fit with the paint scheme and the driver. Ricky Stenhouse Jr’s Blackwell Angus Beef paint scheme has some really nice colors for clothing. The shorts and tank-top are both from Forever 21 and the sweater is from American Eagle Outfitters. I also found both the bracelet and necklace from Forever 21. The last article of clothing here is what ties it all together. The cowboy boots! These are from Zappos and they are a bit pricey, but there are lots of cowboy boots out there these days so I’m sure you could find a good pair. We all know Ricky likes his boots, and so do I, so I couldn’t pass this one up.

I tried to incorporate as many colors into this outfit as possible. Kyle Busch’s m&m’s car has lots of color, but yellow is the most prominent so that’s why I chose a yellow tank top. I paired it with a simple pair of denim shorts and a blue and red loose cardigan. The brown belt ties in the newest candy on Kyle’s car Ms. Brown. The bracelet and sunglasses are both from Forever 21. These Volcom sandals look nice and comfy too.

With this next outfit, you would definitely not go unnoticed. This outfit is inspired by Trevor Bayne’s ever-popular Wood Brothers No. 21 car. I love these red pants, I actually love them so much that I have a pair of my own. I paired the pants with a gold tank top to match the No. 21 and a white blazer. This outfit could definitely be worn with heels, but I have stuck with a very simple pair of black flats from Target. The bracelet and belt are both from Forever 21 and finish the outfit off nicely.

Last up we have one of the newer paint schemes and an outfit than could be worn many places. This outfit is inspired by Kasey Kahne’s Farmers Insurance paint scheme. I have found a blue dress and some grey-silver heels to tie in the two main colors. The clutch, from Target, adds in that little bit of red we see on the car. I have stuck with white and silver accessories with a ring, bracelet, and necklace all from…you guessed it, Forever 21!

I had a lot of fun putting these outfits together, and if you can’t think of anything to wear or pair together, think of your favorite NASCAR driver’s car and go nuts. There are so many different paint schemes out there, so that means the possibilities for outfits are almost endless. I hope you all like the outfits I have shown. They’re just a few more ways you can “dress to impress” at the track, or in life in general.
