From the Editor: Skirts and Scuffs Celebrating 10 Years

2019 marks the 10th year of coverage for Skirts and Scuffs. What an amazing journey it has been! Over the last decade we've had the opportunity to cover events at nearly every track on the circuit. We've been through driver and team changes, sponsor changes and new points systems. We have been fortunate to interview some of the most popular drivers in NASCAR and some of the women who support them, as well as women in the media. Several of our columnists have gone on to write for major publications and a few have penned racing-related books. To say that we have been blessed is an understatement.

As we embark on our 10th season covering NASCAR, we are more energized than ever!

During the offseason, we have updated our site to make it more user friendly. We've worked to develop new and exciting columns including those focusing on driver foundations and the Xfinity Series. We are bringing back some of the most popular columns from the past, including the Women In NASCAR Series. Caption This will be back for 2019, allowing our followers to create fun and clever captions for some of those unexpected photos our team catches at the track. These will be exclusive to our Facebook page.

Before the green flag drops at Daytona, we wanted to take a moment to express our thanks to everyone who has helped to make Skirts and Scuffs what it is today and appreciate those who continue to look to us for the top stories in the sport of NASCAR. We hope to make this the best season yet.

On a personal note, I'd like to thank the women who make Skirts and Scuffs what it is. I've said so many times in the past that we are more than just a website. We are a family. I am in awe of each woman who calls S&S home and thank them for allowing me to be their leader. The idea may have been mine, but the kudos goes to them (and all those who have written for us in the past) for putting in the work and helping to prove that there's more to the female perspective of racing than many give us credit for.

We look forward to bringing you some amazing content this season. Thank you for sticking with us through the last 10 years and many more to come.

NASCAR FANS ARE THE BEST,

Katy
