Driving into Daytona today, one thing is obvious--Daytona Beach is ready to go racing! And so is Skirts and Scuffs!
The signs at local motels and restaurants say "Welcome race fans and teams" and the lights from the racetrack shine brightly in the night sky. Hotels near the track are home to media representatives who are eager to report the latest news from drivers and owners.
Excitement is in the Florida air. Drivers and reporters have been "tweeting" all week about their expectations for the week and the season. Skirts and Scuffs writers have been posting their predictions for the 2010 season also. It is time to quit talking and put the pedal to the metal.
This writer will post the latest news from Daytona Speedweeks right here on Skirts and Scuffs starting with ARCA practice on Thursday and extending through the Daytona 500 some 10 days away.
Let the NASCAR season begins!
