Heluva Good! to sponsor Kyle Busch in Daytona truck race

Kyle Busch's first truck race as an owner/driver is poised to be a "heluva good" debut.

The Heluva Good! brand of dips and condiments will sponsor Busch in the No. 18 Toyota truck for the NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona International Speedway on Friday. The season-opening race marks the debut of Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Camping World Truck Series.

“You only get one first race. We plan on having Kyle Busch Motorsports involved in NASCAR for a long time and, no matter what we do, Heluva Good! will always be the sponsor on our truck for the first race. Obviously, it’s huge for them to come on board for Daytona, and we’re going to do all we can to put them in victory lane and show them a ‘Heluva Good’ time," Busch said in a press release.

The Heluva Good! sponsorship comes on the heels of last week's announcement that the Miccosukee tribe was pulling out as the No. 18 truck's primary sponsor. Miccosukee had previously sponsored Busch when he competed in select Truck Series races for owner Billy Ballew.

Last year Busch drove the No. 51 Miccosukee truck for Ballew in 15 of 25 races, claiming a season-high seven wins. The No. 51 truck, with Busch leading a mix of drivers, came close to knocking off Ron Hornaday Jr. and Kevin Harvick Inc. for the series owners' points championship.

KBM will field two trucks during the 2010 season. Busch will pilot the No. 18 Heluva Good! Toyota whenever the Truck Series runs in companion with the Sprint Cup Series, while Brian Ickler will drive in the non-companion events. Tayler Malsam will drive the No. 56 Toyota for KBM full-time.

Busch has 60 wins across NASCAR's three top-tier series and is the 2009 Nationwide Series champion.
