The Keselowski Katch Up – Auto Club Speedway

Nationwide: Brad Keselowski's run in the Nationwide race was uneventful until the last lap. On the last restart, Keselowski started 4th when Greg Biffle tapped the back of leader Joey Logano, making him loose. Biffle took over the lead and Kyle Busch, Logano and Biffle battled for the lead.

When Keselowski got into the pack and they headed towards the finish line, he and Logano headed towards the top of the track. Keselowski bumped the back of Logano, sending him spinning into the infield. Keselowski took 3rd.

Cup: Keselowski ran in the 20s for most of the race and besides a bit of trading paint with David Reutimann for a lap, he pretty much went unnoticed until around 27 laps to go, when he took a solo spin around the track and brought out the 6th caution of the day. After pitting for four new tires, he headed back on track. He remained unnoticed and ended in a respectable 21st.

So far this year, Keselowski is starting off not-so-hot. With his big win in the No. 09 last year at Talladega and his third in points in the Nationwide Series, I think Keselowski had a lot to prove, especially with moving to a new team. Under the mentoring of Kurt Busch I think he can start doing better. We only have had two races in, so I suppose it's hard to judge.

The boys are off to Vegas this week (and this reporter will be there!), where unfortunately in the Cup race, last year Keselowski crashed the No. 25 GoDaddy.com Chevy on lap two. Hopefully this year he does better. But then again, this is Vegas … and anything can happen here!
