Valvoline to sponsor Matt Kenseth for three Cup races

No. 17 Valvoline Ford Fusion to debut this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Concord, N.C. (March 2, 2010) - Roush Fenway Racing announced today that Valvoline, the leading innovator and supplier of quality, high-performing automotive products, will sponsor the No. 17 entry and driver Matt Kenseth for three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races during the 2010 season.

The No. 17 Valvoline Ford Fusion will debut this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway and then will also serve as the primary sponsor for April’s Talladega race weekend as well as the November Cup Series race in Phoenix.

“This weekend is going to be great for our No. 17 team to showcase the partnership Roush Fenway Racing has with Valvoline,” Kenseth said. “We use Valvoline products in our race cars every weekend and our engine shop relies on the performance advantage their motor oil gives us in order to get the most we can out of our engines. It’s pretty cool that we get to run the No. 17 Valvoline Ford Fusion at Atlanta this weekend.”

Valvoline first teamed up with Roush Fenway Racing in 1990, and together the duo has brought home 44 wins in the Sprint Cup series. Valvoline is the official motor oil at Roush Fenway Racing, and has been providing Americans with the best motor oil and automotive products longer than any other motor oil company.

Kenseth has achieved three top-10 finishes and one top-5 finish this season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series within the first three starts of the year, and is currently fourth in the driver point standings.

The premiere of the No. 17 Valvoline Ford Fusion will take place on Sunday, March 7, for the Kobalt Tools 500 when Kenseth travels to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the fourth race of the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season.

The Kobalt Tools 500 will be broadcast on FOX on Sunday with television coverage beginning at 1 p.m. EST and radio coverage provided by the Performance Racing Network.
