Hornaday to start from pole at Kansas
Defending Camping World Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday Jr. won the pole for Sunday’s O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway. Hornaday ran a lap of 31.916 seconds (169.194 mph) during Saturday’s qualifying session.
This is Hornaday’s 25th pole in 255 Truck Series starts. He is the third driver to win 25 or more poles, joining Mike Skinner (50) and Jack Sprague (32). This is his second pole in 2010. This is his third pole in six races at Kansas and third in a row. This marks the first time Hornaday has won three poles at the same track.
Matt Crafton will start on the outside pole. This is his fourth top-10 start this year and his third in 10 races at Kansas.
Austin Dillon, qualifying fifth, was the fastest rookie.
The Truck Series returns this weekend after a monthlong break for its fifth race of the 2010 season. The O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 will be broadcast live Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on SPEED. Pre-race show starts at 12:30 p.m. ET and green flag is scheduled to wave at 1:19 p.m. ET.
