Hamlin to Lead Sprint Cup Series Field to the Green at Atlanta
After a week off the Sprint Cup Series returns to action Sunday September 4, 2010 for the Emory Healthcare 500. Leading the field to the green will be Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin who qualified with at time of 29.587 seconds (187.380 mph). This is Hamlin’s first pole of the 2010 season as well as his first ever at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Hamlin has eight career poles to his credit.
Starting alongside Hamlin is Stewart-Haas Racing’s Ryan Newman. Defending race champion Kasey Kahne will start from the 10th position.
Pre-race coverage begins at 7:30 eastern on ESPN with the green flag set to fly at 7:45.
