No. 24 and No. 48 teams to swap pit crews for remainder of 2010
The pit crew swap between the No. 24 and No. 48 teams during Sunday's AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway will stay in effect for the remainder of the Chase for the Sprint Cup, Hendrick Motorsports announced today.
According to a team release, the two teams will trade pit crews for the last two races of the 2010 Sprint Cup season. The release offered few details, but it did specify that the change is limited to the seven primary over-the-wall members of the respective pit crews. The roles of additional team personnel will not be affected.
Hendrick Motorsports will hold a press conference Tuesday at 10 a.m. with crew chiefs Chad Knaus and Steve Letarte to address the swap.
