Clint Bowyer wins DRIVE4COPD 300 pole

Clint Bowyer will roll off first in Saturday afternoon’s NASCAR Nationwide Series Drive4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway, after laying down a time of 49.77s at 180.821mph to take the top spot. Bowyer, who is driving the No. 33 Rheem Heating Chevrolet for Kevin Harvick Inc. in this weekend’s race, already has one career win at Daytona after starting on the pole during the 2009 July race.

Landon Cassill will start on the front row alongside Bowyer in second. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was third while IndyCar superstar Danica Patrick, who is driving for Earnhardt’s Nationwide Series team JR Motorsports, qualified fourth at Daytona, her best qualifying effort in her Nationwide Series career.
