Kiara Boal's Championship Picks

Last season my picks were: Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch/Carl Edwards, and Ron Hornaday Jr. Sadly, none of these came true, although Denny Hamlin did almost win the Cup championship. Kyle Busch didn't run the full Nationwide season but had a fantastic year and Carl Edwards finished second in the Nationwide points. Poor Ron Hornaday Jr. wasn't even close. Now it's a new season and new picks ... or maybe the same ;)

Sprint Cup: DENNY HAMLIN

I picked him last year as my pick to win and I'm going with him again! Last year he won eight races and with the new points system, winning is everything. Denny proved to everyone that he had the potential to dethrone Superman, but lost it in the end. Denny and his #11 FedEx crew are consistent each week and know how to get it done when the time comes. As he said before, "All we do is win" and that's the mentality they are going to have coming to the green flag at Daytona until the checkered flag at Homestead. Denny Hamlin will be your 2011 Sprint Cup champion.

Also look out for his Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Kyle Busch and Joey Logano to be threats during the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup season!

Nationwide Series: Justin Allgaier

As the Cup regulars have been banned from running the entire season in the Nationwide Series, it gives the spotlight to a Nationwide Regular to win the title! So I can't pick my boy Kyle Busch to win again :(. I have given this pick some thought and I haven't been able to come up with someone to win the championship because there are so many Nationwide regulars that are able to win. I look to Justin Allgaier, Elliot Sadler, and more as a threat to the championship. I am very excited to see who will prevail! But with having these championship picks, I need to have an official pick for the NASCAR Nationwide Series champion. My official pick will go to Justin Allgaier!

Camping World Truck Series: Austin Dillon

As Todd Bodine won the 2010 CWTS title, look for a new face to win the title in the 2011 season. My pick to be the 2011 CWTS Champion is Austin Dillon. Austin had a great 2010 season in the Truck Series with winning his first race at Iowa Speedway and another race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He also collected seven poles and finished 5th in the standings. And this was only his rookie year! He will find victory lane again this year with his Richard Childress Racing #3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet. I am going out on a limb saying that he will win the championship, but I believe he has the ability and drive to do it!
