This past weekend, JR Motorsports had three cars racing at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Dale Earnhardt Jr., the boss of JR Motorsports, raced the #5 Taxslayer.com car. He started out in 11th spot and quickly moved on to lead three laps. He fell two laps behind but managed his way into the Top 5 and finished in 3rd spot. This was his second Nationwide race this season, finishing in 4th in Daytona and led by crew chief Chris Heroy.
In the JRMRacing website post race report, Dale Jr. said:
“Chris Heroy did a great job as crew chief. He’s a lot of fun to be around. I wanted to give him a shot since I was only running a few races, and he proved he’s very capable of being a crew chief. He’s now called two races with finishes of fourth and third. Not bad.”
Aric Almirola will drive the No. 88 Ragu car at Auto Club Speedway. |
This was Danica Patrick's first race at Bristol Motor Speedway. She qualified 29th. After a crash involving Ryan Truex, she finished in 33rd and earned 11 points, putting her in 9th in the driver standings. She was understandably upset with the finish. Danica is now off from racing in Nationwide until June 2011.
This coming weekend, JR Motorsports heads to Fontana with two cars: Almirola in the #88 Ragu car and Josh Wise in the #7 Taxslayer.com car.
