"The Lady in Black" was out in full force tonight, and she came out early, on lap 2 to be exact. Travis Kvapil, Miguel Paludo, Max Papis, Ryan Sieg, Norm Benning, Justin Lofton and David Starr were all collected off of turn one.
Rookie Cole Whitt, who started from the pole, led the first 27 laps and showed that he will be a contender in the truck series this year. After losing some positions in the pits, and having to go under the hood for a possible cylinder issue, Cole battled back to finish in the top 10.
"The Lady in Black" was not done playing with the teams of the Camping World truck series, she had one more round to throw at them. Lap 98, the #4 of Ricky Carmichael got into the wall and came down across the track and was than struck by the #20 of Johanna Long. Also involved was the #8 of Nelson Piquet Jr. A red flag was brought out due to debris and fluids on the track.
