The trucks head to Darlington Raceway, the oldest track on the circuit. The 1.366-mile track is known for its unique egg shape and for leaving competitors with "Darlington stripes," the black marks that the racecars bear after rubbing against the track's walls.
Darlington has banking of 25 degree in Turns 1 and 2, 23 degrees in Turns 3 and 4, and 6 degrees on the frontstretch and backstretch. Nicknamed the "Lady in Black" and "Too Tough to Tame," the track is a fan favorite and promises some of the most exciting racing on the schedule.
The Truck Series returned to Darlington last year after a five-year absence. It was Todd Bodine who was able to tame the track, taking the win. Who will end up on the Lady in Black's good side this weekend?
In addition to the truck race, fans can satisfy their need for speed with the documentary “The Daytona 500: The American Dream,” a one-hour special showing never-before-seen footage from Trevor Bayne’s historic run to Victory Lane. The special airs on FOX at 1 p.m. ET.
