Justin Allgaier loves to race in Michigan and quoted on his web page, Justin Allgaier.com, “I love competing at Michigan. I have always run well and finished strong there. Michigan was one of the few tracks the “new car” ran last year, which gives us a strong set of notes to go off of heading into this weekend. We’re coming off a big win at Chicago and hope to continue this momentum to get back in the thick of the championship hunt.”

Allgaier was the second regular Nationwide driver to win a race this season and claim his second career win in Chicagoland two weeks ago. With Sprint Cup drivers dominating the Nationwide with wins this season, Nationwide drivers are working especially hard to compete with their elite competitors, preparing them for their Sprint Cup season.

The 24-year old is fourth in points and is racing the No. 31 DEFT Finishes Chevrolet Impala in Michigan today with chassis TMS-121, the very same one he won with in Chicagoland.

Allgaier also raced in Prelude to the Dream on June 8th, he started his race in fifth position and finished in fifth.

Today, Allgaier will start the race in the 13th position. Battling an illness all weekend, Allgaier reports he is feeling better today and will be ready to race today.
