NASCAR By the Numbers: Michigan, pride on the line
Manufacturer pride is on the line racing at Michigan International Speedway, the hometown of Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet.
Nationwide Series:
Ford Racing continued their strong run with the FR9 engines this year. Carl Edwards won, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Trevor Bayne finished in the top 5. With his second-place finish, Stenhouse now takes over the points lead.
Biggest Losses: Reed Sorenson –2

Sprint Cup Series:
The Big Three automakers were shut out by the Toyota of Denny Hamlin after a late-race caution played in his favor. Carl Edwards still leads the points, and has lead since the beginning of April after Texas Motor Speedway.
Biggest Loss: Jimmie Johnson –3
