The Sprint Cup Series gets into gear, literally, at Pocono Raceway while the Camping World Truck Series heads to Texas Motor Speedway.

Pocono is a flat track with the unique shape of a triangle. It has 14 degrees of banking in Turn 1, 18 degrees in Turn 2, 6 degrees in Turn 3 and 2 degrees on the straights, as well as the longest straightaway on the circuit.

A new gear rule brings shifting back to Pocono, making the comparison of the 2.5-mile superspeedway to a road course relevant again. But how will it affect the racing? The biggest difference is that it will allow for more passing, which is sure to please both fans and drivers. Some drivers, including Denny Hamlin, who has four wins at the Tricky Triangle, never raced at the track when the rule was in effect (prior to 2005). It'll be interesting to see if and how the change affects them. Also, keep an eye on the engines, as more stress will be placed on them.

The trucks will run under the lights at Texas Motor Speedway. The 1.5-mile intermediate track has 24 degrees in the corners and 5 degrees in the straights.

Last year's winners:

SPRINT CUP - POCONO
Spring: Denny Hamlin
Fall: Greg Biffle

TRUCK SERIES - TEXAS
Spring: Todd Bodine
Fall: Kyle Busch

The Nationwide Series is off this week.
