Career Milestone for Kyle Busch
Kyle Busch wins Nationwide's New England 200 at NHMS. Today is his 100th NASCAR win.
"I raced hard, I raced clean and I ended up where I am," Busch said to media after his victory.
Busch ties Mark Martin for Nationwide career wins, who congratulated him at Victory Lane tonight.
"Everybody forgets, he's 26 years old. There are so many more out there for him," Martin said in response to what he thinks of Busch's win.
Busch has been racing for seven years in all three series. His first win was in 2004 at Richmond International Raceway and to date he has 29 Camping World Truck wins, 49 wins in Nationwide and 22 wins in Sprint Cup. Today's win makes this his 14th overall win of the season.
Dale Earnhardt and Darrell Waltrip have 97 National NASCAR wins and Richard Petty has 206.
Busch does believe "it would be nice to have more wins. If I could have 49 cup wins I'd feel better," he said with a laugh.
When asked if there were any other division he'd like to try, he said he wants to win a championship in Cup before he tries IndyCar or Formula 1.
Busch is going for the championship in Cup; with 18 races left in the season, he’s currently the points leader. He’s 19 points ahead of five-time champion Jimmie Johnson.
