The Sprint Cup series is racing under the lights again this Saturday and for their first race in Kentucky. According to the news, most drivers are used to the track now, because of the extra practice they were given. It’ll be the first new track they’ve raced since 2001, when they debuted in Kansas.

Tonight's race starts at 7:30 and will be aired on TNT.

David Ragan had an embarrassing finish at the Daytona 500 when was black flagged for a late re-start penalty, all because he started to pick up speed too early before the drop of the green flag; he went back to Daytona to win the race on July 2nd. A well deserved win, Ragan is certainly looking forward to another race this weekend. This season has gone well for Ragan with consistent races and consistent finishes. He is 17th in points but 2011 is his best season to date.

He won the Sprint Cup Showdown, scoring him a position in the All Star Race for the first time in his career. He finished 8th that Saturday night.

Ragan has been racing full time in Sprint Cup with UPS and Roush Fenway Racing since 2007.
Tonight, he starts in 8th position.

Other drivers to watch:

Due to the rainstorm on Friday, Sprint Cup qualifying was cancelled and the starting line-up was decided by the final practice speeds.

Kyle Busch was fastest in practice and that landed him the pole. He won at Kentucky on Thursday night in the Camping World Truck Series. Love him or loathe him, Kyle Busch has a solid driving record on the track with truck and Nationwide wins.

Kyle is looking for his third Sprint Cup win this season; he's currently third in points.
