NASCAR goes short-track racing this weekend as it embarks on the second half of the season. The Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series head to New Hampshire Motor Speedway while the Camping World Truck Series heads to Iowa Speedway.

New Hampshire, the flattest track on the circuit, opened in 1990. The 1.058-mile oval has banking that varies from 2 to 7 degrees in the corners and 1 degree on the straightaways. Iowa, a newer track that opened in 2006, is a .875-mile oval with 12-14 degree compound banking in the corners, 10 degrees on the frontstretch and 4 degrees on the backstretch. The unique banking is meant to allow for more side-by-side passing. Both tracks have provided exciting racing on the NASCAR schedule.
