Nashville is one of three concrete tracks on the NASCAR circuit. The 1.333-mile D-shaped oval has 14-degree banking in the turns, 9 degrees on the frontstretch and 6 degrees on the backstretch. The track has hosted the Nationwide Series since 2001, when Greg Biffle won the inaugural event, and the Truck Series since 2002, with Scott Riggs taking the first checkered.
The Truck Series will race under the lights at Kentucky on Friday. As no Cup regulars are entered, whose time will it be to shine? The Nationwide Series will take its turn Saturday, with two Cup drivers in the field.
Recent winners at Nashville include:
NATIONWIDE
Spring 2011: Carl Edwards
Fall 2010: Brad Keselowski
TRUCK SERIES
Spring 2011: Kyle Busch
Fall 2010: Todd Bodine
