Pole Report: Kyle Busch steals pole from Richard Petty Motorsports



Kyle Busch was the last to qualify at Watkins Glen on Saturday, and was successful in knocking A.J. Allmendinger off the pole as well as Allmendinger’s teammate, Marcos Ambrose off the front row. This is Busch’s eighth career pole. In 2008, he drove from the pole to Victory Lane at Watkins Glen.
With the Chase winding down, drivers are starting to scramble for the wild card positions. After Denny Hamlin crashed during his qualifying run he and his team determined that they will NOT go to a back up car for the race at The Glen tomorrow.
