NCWTS Pole Report: Carmichael wins pole in Atlanta

Carmichael claims his first career pole at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Ricky Carmichael claimed his first pole ever after laying down a lap of 31.179 seconds (177.812 mph) and backing up his efforts in today’s practice sessions. Carmichael went out last, after laying down the fast lap in practice, and knocked Clint Bowyer off the provisional pole.
