NASCAR goes short-track racing this weekend as the Sprint Cup Series and Camping World Truck Series embark to Loudon, New Hampshire. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is also know as “The Magic Mile” and is a 1.058 mile track. NHMS has hosted NASCAR events since 1993. The NASCAR Nationwide Series has the weekend off, and will be back next weekend at Dover Motor Speedway.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway generally hosts the first race in the Chase, but things were changed this year. This track definitely provides some exciting racing. For those that don’t know much about the track, it is the flattest track in the circuit. Also, for the past three years the winner of the Sprint Cup race has received the traditional trophy, plus a 20 lb lobster.

Here are some recent winners at New Hampshire Motor Speedway:

Sprint Cup:
Spring 2011: Ryan Newman
Fall 2010: Clint Bowyer

Truck Series:
Fall 2010: Kyle Busch
