As the season winds down, plans for next season are becoming clearer for many teams in the garage area. JTG Daugherty Racing announced the teams plans while in Talladega and laid out their new foundation for 2012.

Taking the helm as general manager, and also serving as crew chief for the No. 47 of Bobby Labonte, will be Todd Berrier. Berrier most recently served as crew chief for Jeff Burton and worked at Richard Childress Racing for nearly two decades.

“Todd Berrier is a winner, pure and simple,” stated Brad Daugherty. “He is innovative, an effective communicator, great with race cars and knows how to use the resources available to him to optimize performance. We are confident that he is the right individual to lead our race team into the future.”

JTG Daugherty also will be making the move back to their own race shop after working with Michael Waltrip Racing the past several seasons. The team will remain a Toyota sponsored team, receiving engines from Triad and details are being worked out if an alliance with MWR will remain to supply cars to the team.

Also announced, sponsors returning for Labonte: Kingsford, Busch’s Beans, Scott, Hidden Valley, KC Masterpiece, Glad, Clorox, Reese Towpower and Highland will all return next year. Kimberly-Clark, which owns Scott paper products, will also be featuring other products on the car.
