Sprint Launches NASCAR.COM’s ‘RaceBuddy’ for Remainder of the Chase
Sprint now offers live in-car camera views of ESPN’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series broadcasts
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Oct. 19, 2011 – Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced an update to its popular NASCAR Sprint Cup MobileSM application that will enhance fans’ user experience for the remainder of the 2011 season.
NASCAR.COM’s “RaceBuddy” will be available on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile application for the five remaining 2011 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup races. Each week, in-car camera views from six of the drivers in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup will offer a mobile viewing experience to complement ESPN’s traditional race telecasts.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile users will be able to view the races from the same perspective as Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers like Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski and Tony Stewart. Each week, the driver lineup featured on the RaceBuddy in-car camera views is subject to change.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile is included with any Sprint Everything Data plan and features live, in-car audio for all 43 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers. Users have access to live race radio for all NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races and the application delivers real-time leaderboards, points and Pit Pass telemetry data.
Accessed by more than 2.5 million unique users in 2010, NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile is a wireless application that provides unique access into the world of NASCAR at no additional charge to Sprint customers with any data plan on capable devices.
