Tickets for 2012 Race Season at Infineon Raceway On-Sale Dec. 15

  

SONOMA, Calif. (Dec. 14, 2011) — Infineon Raceway officially opens its ticket office on Thursday, Dec. 15, for the 2012 Big O Tires Racing Season, highlighted by the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, IZOD IndyCar® Series and AMA Pro Road Racing.  It’s one of the most comprehensive motor-racing schedules in the country.

The Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series highlights the upcoming race season, June 22-24, as NASCAR returns for the 24^th year to tackle the twisting road course. Tempers and sheet metal are sure to fly.

In addition to individual race tickets, the raceway will offer a variety of ticket packages to NASCAR, including the Save Mart Supermarkets 2-Pack, which boasts two reserved race-day tickets for just $99. You can also get up close to drivers during pre-race festivities with a Pre-Race Pit & Track Pass for just $75.  Race fans can also check out great race-weekend camping options.

Drag racing fans will want to act fast to reserve their seats for the NHRA Sonoma Nationals, July 27-29. This marks the NHRA's 25th consecutive visit to the Sonoma Valley and plans are already under way to make this one of the best years yet.

The IZOD IndyCar Series takes over the road course Aug. 24-26 for the Indy® Grand Prix of Sonoma. The cars and stars of the Indianapolis 500 will invade Sonoma, complete with new engine and car packages designed to enhance competition.  Fans can check out Infineon Raceway’s Total Access package: race-day reserved ticket, garage pass, pre-race pit and track pass, plus race-day Q&A with a star driver for $99.

Fans also won’t want to miss a new addition to the Infineon Raceway lineup with the FIA World Touring Car Championship for its first-ever race on American soil, Sept. 21-23.  The race weekend will be highlighted by two 30-minute sprint races on Sunday, Sept. 23, that will include plenty of action. Manufacturers include BMW, Chevrolet, SEAT and Volvo.

Race tickets will also be available for the West Coast Moto Jam on Cinco de Mayo weekend (May 4-6), which features the best in AMA Pro Road Racing, with six main events over the weekend in American SuperBike, Daytona SportBike and Supersport. There's also the return of Supermoto USA and more.
