The 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion will be one of the 43 drivers lucky enough to rev up their engines on Feb. 26 for the 54th annual running of the Daytona 500. Stenhouse will drive the No. 6 car for Roush Fenway Racing in NASCAR's Super Bowl.
Stenhouse will be making only his second Cup start after competing in last year’s Coca-Cola 600, bringing home an impressive 11th-place finish. He will be locked into the field with points from the No. 6 car.
Today, Stenhouse shared his excitement by tweeting, "We r running the Daytona 500...that's gunna b so cool!! Testing next week. Gunna b a great start to the year!! Feelin really blessed!!"

Unsponsored at this point, the team has no plans to run the full season. Using those owner points from 2011, they are locked into the first five races but have only confirmed plans for the Daytona race as of now.
As for whether Stenhouse returns to his Nationwide seat, that too has yet to be determined by Roush Fenway officials.
