Extending our sympathies to NASCAR families

The Associated Press reports that FOX studio host Chris Myers’ 19-year-old son was killed Thursday in a car accident. SPEED’s John Roberts will take over for Myers at his Daytona hosting responsibilities.

Myers offered this response on Twitter: "Sincere thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers and kind words for my son Christopher. You are helping the healing..a family grieves."

Also of note, Chip Bolin will fill in as crew chief this weekend for the No. 99 of Carl Edwards, due to the passing of Bob Osborne’s father. Osborne will return next weekend for the Gatorade Duels and the Daytona 500.
