The Likely Suspects: Las Vegas Motor Speedway seems to bring out the best from Carl Edwards, Mark Martin, Jeff Burton, Greg Biffle, Kasey Kahne and usually one of the Busch brothers. Keep in mind that this track always seems to be a showcase for Roush Fenway drivers. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that this is the race is called the Kobalt Tools 400 and that Jimmie Johnson has won it four times.
My 2 Cents:
With an eye toward qualifying bonus points I am going with Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, and Mark Martin since these guys have wins and/or hold records at Las Vegas. You can't go wrong with Jeff Burton so he is on my team. I was torn between Kasey Kahne and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., but Dale Jr. has a slightly higher rating on this track and no DNFs, so Earnhardt Jr. it is. Rounding out my team is Bobby Labonte who is one of only four drivers who have participated in all 14 NASCAR Sprint Cup races here. My last spot goes to David Ragan although Aric Almirola and Trevor Bayne are also good choices.
Good luck with your fantasy team and enjoy the race! Post your comments here or email me at ssfantasyracing@skirtsandscuffs.com.
