Tony Stewart hits the jackpot in Las Vegas

Cha-ching! That is the sound of a jackpot, Vegas style, as Tony Stewart out ran Jimmie Johnson to win the Kobalt Tools 400 and claim his first win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Leading a race high 163 laps, Stewart and crew chief Steve Addington were able to fight off Johnson in the closing laps for the duos first race win in 2012. Now Stewart has just two tracks remaining that he is searching for the elusive wins - Darlington Raceway and Kentucky Speedway. Read more on Stewart's win in Smoke Signals tomorrow.

It was also an eventful day for hometown favorites Kurt and Kyle Busch. In the closing laps Kurt Busch spun and wrecked into the inside SAFER barrier, ending his day. Young brother Kyle's day did not go any better, at one point racing from the front to the back only to spin out just a few laps after Kurt.

Read more on the individual teams in our post race recaps - Hendrick Garage, Roush Fenway Rewind and more starting tomorrow.

Onto Bristol - short track racing will equal short tempers!
