Pole Report: Sprint Showdown
Saturday night the lights will shine bright as 22 cars line up to put it all on the line for a chance to race with the All-Stars. Leading the field to green in the Sprint Showdown will be Penske Racing's AJ Allmendinger in the No. 22 Pennzoil Dodge who called his lap a "perfect lap."
Qualifying with a time of 28.057 seconds (192.465 MPH), Allmendinger beat out Martin Truex Jr. for the pole. Dale Earnhardt Jr., who was fastest in the only practice session, qualified third.
The top two finishers from the Showdown will transfer into the main event. Tune in to SPEED at 7 p.m. Saturday for the Showdown and All-Star Race.
