NASCAR In Heels: Gift Ideas for Dad

Proud Papa Jeff Gordon has a lot to be thankful for this Father's Day and every day.

Father’s Day is right around the corner, so I thought I would give you a few ideas as to what to buy for Dad. Of course, these gifts will only please him if he is a NASCAR fan.

I decided to stray away from the typical “loud” driver t-shirts that many closets are over-populated with, and go with some different ideas. They aren’t to wild or funky though, we still want to please Dad and give him something useful.
If your dad has a bar at home, or just likes to enjoy a beer after a long day at work, or on the weekends these glasses may be a good fit for him. They are branded with his favorite drivers’ number and have a nice look to them. That could kick start an entire “bar makeover.” A NASCAR themed bar would definitely be a cool addition to any household.
This next gift is perfect for the dad that spends a lot of time outside or at the lake. This set of beer koozies is a great gift idea. This would be one that I would get for my dad. If your dad isn’t a beer drinker you can just get a set of can koozies for pop, juice, or water bottles too. With the heat nowadays, we could all use something to keep a beverage cold for a little longer!

Now, switching over to clothing...

This polo shirt is a somewhat stylish option for dad. It’s not too loud, but still visibly a NASCAR shirt. He could wear it out with jeans and look really sharp. They have lots of drivers, but I liked the Denny Hamlin one best.

This next option is something a little different all together. It is still the average graphic tee, but it’s from the SPEED channel. I decided to take this route when bringing souvenirs home from Charlotte. Many dads aren’t too fond of stepping outside the box when it comes to fashion, so this is good for the classic guy.

Last up I have something for the Dale Jr dads. This hat from Whiskey River is a perfect option for the dad that already has lots of Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan gear. Many people won’t even know that this hat has a NASCAR connection, but a true fan will know. I bought my dad one of these hats when I was in Charlotte as well. However, now I’m thinking “Why didn’t I save anything for Father’s Day?” My shopping would have been done!

Those are just a few options. I took quite a bit of time looking around at the online NASCAR store and I was very impressed with the variety of gifts you could purchase. If you have been to a race with your dad you could compile all your pictures and make him a cool calendar or photo book. If you’ve got a higher budget you could always take your dad to a race, or get him a package from the NASCAR Racing Experience, or a similar driving package. But remember, it’s the thought that counts, so you’d be just as well to make some food and chill with your dad this Sunday, while watching the Quicken Loans 400 live from Michigan.

Happy Father's Day everyone!
