Sharon Boswell is originally from Ohio, but now lives in Mooresville, North Carolina. She and her husband, Shannon, works for the Richard Petty Driving Experience. They haul the No. 43 Air Force show car to races around the NASCAR circuit.

I recently had the chance to catch up with Sharon at Dover while she was working. We did a quick Q&A session to help you get to know her.

Favorite driver: “When I grew up, I was a Jeff Gordon fan. Now I work for the 43 team, so I gotta cheer for my homeboy, Aric (Almirola.)”

Favorite track: Talladega. “The finish when Carl Edwards went up into the fence was unreal!”

How she became a NASCAR fan: “I grew up with it as a child. My father followed it back when it was Winston Cup and I’ve been a fan ever since.”

Favorite NASCAR memory: “Meeting Richard Petty for the first time. I didn’t realize what a wonderful man he is. And now working for him, I realize even more how dedicated he is to the sport.”

Best thing about attending races: “As a fan when I used to come, just travelling the midway and meeting other fans and watching how everything around here works. I really enjoy working in NASCAR now and meeting the fans.”

What Sharon likes about Skirts and Scuffs: “I love the articles. You guys are awesome. You write good stuff that is honest and sincere.”

Many thanks to Sharon for being a loyal Skirts and Scuffs reader. To meet her in person, look for her at the Air Force display on the midway at races.
