Another week, another newly paved racetrack. NASCAR leaves the Poconos of Pennsylvania to converge on the Irish Hills of Michigan. Like Pocono Raceway, Michigan International Speedway was recently repaved and will present new challenges for the drivers. An extra day of testing was added Thursday to give teams more time to adjust to the new asphalt.

The 2-mile track is one of the fastest on the circuit - even moreso now following its repave, with three drivers breaking the 201 mph barrier in Thursday's afternoon test session.

Michigan International Speedway is located near the Big 3 automobile manufacturers - Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge (Chrysler) - so a win here also brings bragging rights. Which manufacturer will end up in victory lane?

The Sprint Cup and Nationwide series hit the track running this weekend at Michigan. The Camping World Truck Series is off until June 28 at Kentucky.
