The Better Half Dash will return to Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 11 during the Bank of America race week. The 25-lap race will be run on the frontstretch quarter-mile of the speedway.  There will be a competition caution on Lap 15 with a random inversion which will occur before the restart. This will cause the ladies of NASCAR to have a competitive and unpredictable final 10-lap shootout.

This charity race will support Motor Racing Outreach (MRO) and the Speedway Children's Charities.  The winner of the race will have $10,000 donated in their name towards her favorite charity. Advance tickets are $12 and event day tickets are $20. Kids 13 and under are FREE.

Participants for this race include defending champion Jacquelyn Butler (fiance' of Sprint Cup driver David Ragan), Kris Buescher (wife of James Buescher), Patricia Driscoll (girlfriend of Sprint Cup driver Kurt Busch), SPEED TV reporter Wendy Venturini, Melanie Self (MRO Representative) and Ashley Allgaier (wife of Nationwide driver Justin Allgaier) - just to name a few.

"The Better Half Dash was so much fun last year," Butler said.  "I thought it was a very successful and entertaining event for the fans and a great way to let everyone know how much MRO and Speedway Children's Charities means to the NASCAR community.  I am so excited for this year's race.  We have some exciting things planned to make it even more entertaining for the fans."

There will be three practice sessions held leading up to the race which will occur on the following dates and times:
  • Sept. 18, 6 - 9 p.m.
  • Sept. 25, 6 - 9 p.m.
  • Oct. 9, prior to qualifying and beginning at 6 p.m.
It is sure to be an exciting and entertaining event ... there was a lot of trash talking going on between these ladies so you don't want to miss this race!
