Tony Stewart offers advice to Lewis Hamilton for the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, TX (Video)

One of the things racing fans get to see at the beginning of each racing season are the ads and commercials that they will be seeing for most of the season. We know them by heart after just a few races. But one ad sticks out far and above the rest this year and that is the ad featuring Tony Stewart and Lewis Hamilton. It is funny, smart and the brand sticks: Mobil 1 Synthetic Motor Oil.

These two drivers have little in common apart from Mobil 1 sponsorship, although they have done cross-promotions and ads for Mobil 1 including the Mobil 1 Car Swap in 2011 at Watkins Glen International Raceway and the ad mentioned above. Stewart is part owner and drives for Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Car Series while Hamilton, for the remainder of this year, drives for McLaren Mercedes  in Formula One. Two very different series with very different automobiles. Stewart races throughout the United States while F1's Hamilton competes globally. They are both champions at what they do and pairing these two has been nothing short of hilarious and brilliant.

Now we have a new video! Stewart is graciously offering Hamilton tips on running the United States Grand Prix in Austin on November 16-18, 2012. Not only does Stewart welcome Hamilton to the U.S., but offers tips on how to add a little Texas style and swagger to promote Lewis' fan base while he is in the U.S. - complete with a custom, aerodynamic package for Lewis' Mercedes and his own custom racing boots. I cannot help but wonder if this is a little playful payback for Stewart having to practically be shoe-horned into Lewis' Mercedes or for Lewis topping the ''I treat my fans better than you'' ad! Whichever, it is all in jest and the best pairing of the 2011 and 2012 racing seasons.

I am almost sorry to see Lewis Hamilton leave McLaren. Somehow I do not think Jenson Button will have the same chemistry with the NASCAR champ as Lewis Hamilton but we will see. As advertisements go, here's hoping this one continues. Thanks, Mobil 1, Formula One and NASCAR for putting a chuckle into our race days! Here's to the United States Grand Prix in Austin, TX. Do not miss it!
