Travel Tips: Martinsville Speedway Fan Edition

Martinsville Speedway will play host to the NASCAR Camping World Truck and Sprint Cup Series. In the April Cup race, Ryan Newman captured the checkered flag after two controversial incidents, initiated by David Reutimann and Clint Bowyer, prevented either of the top running Hendrick drivers (four-time champion Jeff Gordon and five-time champion Jimmie Johnson) from making it to Victory Lane. This race track holds a special place in the heart of that organization and they will definitely be looking to capture the checkered flag this time around.

The racing weekend will also mark the return of NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver and fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. who had been sidelined for two weeks due to injuries sustained from consecutive concussions.

This week’s Travel Tips will consist of fan event information about events happening throughout the race weekend.
