NNS Pole Report: Eventful qualifying at Phoenix International Raceway


It was an eventful Nationwide Series qualifying this afternoon at Phoenix International Speedway. Nur Ali qualified 4.5 seconds slower than the slowest car in the K&N Pro Series field, after hitting the wall during Nationwide Series practice on Friday. Additionally, points leader Elliott Sadler hit the wall during qualifying and will be starting in the sixteenth position.

In the end, Joey Logano came out on top with a lap of 27.145 seconds at 132.621 mph. This is Logano’s 22nd career Nationwide Series pole and 6th pole this season. Kyle Busch, Austin Dillon, Sam Hornish Jr., and Brian Vickers round out the top-5.
