NSCS Pole Report: Keselowski on Las Vegas pole after qualifying washed out

Rained washed out Friday's qualifying session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the first time in the track's history. As a result, qualifying for Sunday's Kobalt Tools 400 was set by the NASCAR rulebook. This means the top 36 are determined by 2012 owners’ points and the remainder of the field by owners’ points or qualifying attempts this season.

Brad Keselowski, the 2012 Sprint Cup champion, will start on the pole, with Clint Bowyer second. Rounding out the  top 5 are Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle.

The Kobalt Tools 400 will air live at 3 p.m. ET on FOX. Green flag is scheduled for 3:16 p.m.
