The Likely Suspects: Last year we were focused on the repave at Kansas Speedway, but this year I'd keep my eye out for drivers with an ax to grind. The reigning champ Brad Keselowski tops that list. Brad is usually very good in Kansas, but his new motivation is his fine of 25 championship points. Other drivers who perform well in Kansas include: Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne and Kyle Busch.
My 2 Cents: This traditionally has been a track dominated by Hendrick Motorsports and Roush Fenway Racing. My no-brainer pick this week is Jimmie Johnson, followed closely by Brad Keselowski, although Matt Kenseth was a serious consideration. My next choices are: Kyle Busch, Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards and Dale Earnhardt Jr. However, if you are over-using your Dale Jr. starts, go with Paul Menard. I will complete my team with Sam Hornish Jr., who is in the No. 12 car this Sunday, and Casey Mears. Enjoy the race!
