NCWTS Pole Report: Jeb Burton wins first career pole at Martinsville

It runs in the family. Jeb Burton won his first Camping World Truck Series pole for Saturday's Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway. Jeb, 20, is the son of Ward Burton and the nephew of Jeff Burton. He will be making his seventh series start.

Burton's blistering lap of 96.666 mph (19.589 seconds) shattered the track qualifying record and sealed the deal by more than a 1-second margin over second-place Darrell Wallace Jr.

In another racing family, Chase Elliott, son of Bill Elliott, will start 8th in his series debut.

Saturday's race is just the second of the Truck Series season, as the series has been on a break since the Feb. 22 Daytona race.

Daytona truck race winner Johnny Sauter will start fourth.

The Kroger 250 will air live at 1:30 p.m. ET Saturday on SPEED. Pre-race coverage starts at 1 p.m. ET.
