Notice: Southwest Region Update

TULSA, Okla. (April 11, 2013) For our Arizona fans, we regret to inform you that the scheduled Wing Sprint Car Races at the Central Arizona Raceway [C.A.R.] in Casa Grande, Ariz. are not Hose Advantage Store ASCS Southwest Regional events. 

This is in regards to a post by the Central Arizona Raceway on their Facebook page.

Possible events were discussed earlier in the year, but were never made sanctioned events. Track promoters advised the ASCS office that they were not going to do any Southwest Regional events in 2013 as it was the first year the track was back up and running. 

If they track decides to go ahead with a Wing Sprint Car show, at this point in time, they will be non-sanctioned events and are not under the guidelines, pay structure, or points awarded to the Southwest Region. 

If events are scheduled, it will be posted to http://www.ascsracing.com as well as our various Social Media outlets and ASCS E-News Letter.

We wish them the best of luck in getting the Central Arizona Raceway back to being premier dirt oval for the fans of Arizona. If you’ve never been there, it's a great facility.
