In 2001, Paul won his first World of Outlaws race at State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Missouri. He earned the 1995 Motoring Press Association Open-Wheel Driver of the Year. He and his wife Jan have two children, a son and a daughter.
In 2013, Paul McMahan joined the Outlaws tour full-time again with CJB Motorsports after getting the ride late in 2012. McMahan currently has one victory in the series as the Outlaws complete the west coast swing. He will be making his charge for the Championship with help from Bair’s Tree Service, All Star Performance and Nyce Crete and Block Company.
2012 Recap: In limited action, McMahan picked up two feature victories and finished 16th in the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series standings.
He picked up a victory at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park before claiming a win the night before the famed National Open at Williams Grove Speedway. McMahan also registered six top fives and set quick time in qualifying at two races.
