Travel Tips: Dover International Speedway – Sept. 26-29, 2013


It’s time for the third race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, and the stars of the series head to Dover International Speedway in Delaware for the AAA 400 weekend, Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 26-29. Also on the schedule for the weekend: the Nationwide Series and the K&N Pro Series East.

On Thursday, Sept. 26, Dover introduces a new event to the off-track schedule: the NASCAR Hauler Showcase and Parade, taking place at the Blue Hen Corporate Center, 655 S. Bay Rd. in Dover, from 4 to 6 p.m. ET. Sprint Cup Series haulers will be lined up according to points at the Center before making their way down the parade route through downtown Dover. Prior to Sunday’s AAA 400, country duo Thompson Square will perform a free pre-race concert on the Victory Plaza stage at 11:15 a.m. ET.

  • Nationwide Series qualifying – 12:05 p.m. ET
  • Nationwide Series 5-hour ENERGY 200 benefitting Living Beyond Breast Cancer – 3:30 p.m. ET

Sunday, Sept. 29 –
  • Sprint Cup Series AAA 400 – 2 p.m. ET
