The Likely Suspects: This week think open wheel racers and drivers with a bit of a wild side. Remember that the starting lineup is key at the Glen, particularly if you are looking to score some decent fantasy points this week. Remarkably, 67.7 percent of the NASCAR Sprint Cup races at Watkins Glen have been won from a top-five starting position. My money is on this selection of likely suspects this week: Kyle Busch, Marcos Ambrose, Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski and AJ Allmendinger. The looming question this week is will Tony Stewart show up? We are in the middle of the summer and he is the top-rated driver at Watkins Glen with a rating of 120.4 compared to Marcos Ambrose with 120.1.

My 2 Cents: This week's no-brainer selection is a three-way tie between Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon and Marcos Ambrose. My next picks are: Brad Keselowski, AJ Allmendinger and Carl Edwards. I will round out my team with Danica Patrick and Austin Dillon. Remember we'll get to see Boris Said and Nelson Piquet Jr. this weekend. If you must go for one of these guys (try to resist) I would pick Nelson.

Enjoy the seven turns this weekend. I hope your drivers don't skid in the bus stop though! Post your comments here or email me at ssfantasyracing@skirtsandscuffs.com.
