The Likely Suspects: This weekend I will be at my home track, Dover International Speedway, covering the race weekend with Beth Reinke. Short-track racing is my personal favorite and the "Monster Mile" never disappoints. Here are the elite drivers who know their way around this "self-cleaning" one-mile track: Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Martin Truex Jr., Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Kyle Busch. Don't overlook Kyle Larson this week. Although he only has four Dover races under his belt, he has a 7.3 average finish and a 9.8 average running position.

My 2 Cents:  My no-brainer pick this week is a tie between Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth. If the No. 20 team can pull it together this weekend, Kenseth could get his first win of the season. My next picks are Clint Bowyer, Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Larson and Carl Edwards. I will complete my team with Chase Elliott and David Ragan.

Points to Ponder:

• Jimmie Johnson leads active drivers in the Cup Series in average finishing position at Dover with a 9.071.
• Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart lead active drivers with runner-up finishes with three each.
• Matt Kenseth leads active drivers in top-10 finishes with 22.  
• Two active drivers have posted consecutive Coors Light poles at Dover: Ryan Newman (fall 2005 and spring 2006), and Denny Hamlin (fall 2012 and spring 2013).
• Hendrick Motorsports has the most wins at Dover in the Sprint Cup Series with 18. 
• Nine different manufacturers have won in the NSCS at Dover, led by Chevrolet with 38 victories, followed by Ford with 25 and Toyota with two.
