2016 Kurt Busch
2015 Joey Logano

The Likely Suspects: I think all of our fantasy teams took a big hit last weekend at the Daytona crash fest. The Sprint Cup teams weren't the only ones learning about the five-minute repair clock. But it's a new week and a new opportunity to rack up some points to take the sting out of last week's score.  Look to these drivers to run well this weekend: Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman, Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Chase Elliott and Matt Kenseth.

My 2 Cents: This week think 10, five, Hendrick Motorsports and Chevy when making your picks. The winner this week will most likely come from the top 10 in the lineup. If you are lucky or skilled enough to pick the driver who will start in the fifth position, then lock him or her up in your final roster. The fifth starting position has produced the most winners at Atlanta. My no-brainer pick this week is Jimmie Johnson. My next picks are Kevin Harvick, Chase Elliott, Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.  I'll complete my team with Ty Dillon and Daniel Suarez.

My Final Four: Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Chase Elliott and Ty Dillon

Points to Ponder:
  • 85 of the 109 (77.9 percent) Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races at Atlanta Motor Speedway have been won from a top-10 starting position.
  • The fifth starting position is the most proficient starting position in the field, producing more winners (15) than any other starting spot at Atlanta.
  • Hendrick Motorsports has the most wins at Atlanta in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series with 14, followed by the Wood Brothers with 12 and Joe Gibbs Racing with 11.
  • Among active Hendrick Motorsports drivers who have won at Atlanta, Jimmie Johnson leads with five wins, and Kasey Kahne has one.
  • Nine different manufacturers have won in the Monster Energy Series at Atlanta, led by Chevrolet with 40 victories, followed by Ford (29), Pontiac (11), Dodge (nine), Mercury (eight), Buick (four), Plymouth (four), Toyota (three) and Oldsmobile (one).
  • Jimmie Johnson leads all active drivers at Atlanta in: runner-up finishes with four, top-five finishes with 14 and average finishing position at 10.680.
Remember if you are playing Yahoo! Fantasy Auto Racing your pick deadline is Friday, March 3 at 5 a.m. EST.
