Brennan Poole, driver of the No. 48 DC Solar Chevrolet, is still searching for his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory. Last year's dramatic finish is sure to be on his mind this weekend when he heads to the high banks of Talladega.

“I’ve had some really fast cars at the superspeedways,” Poole said. “I got to have the same racecar, we fix it up also, from Daytona.”

Poole finished third a year ago in NASCAR overtime that left Elliott Sadler victorious. Poole is confident in his ability and looks at Talladega as the perfect opportunity to get the job done.

“Our guys have been calling it redemption weekend this week. Every race that we go to we wanna win, but last year this was where we were the closest.”

For Poole it’s all about being mentality prepared and focused to lead laps and be in contention.

“I definitely think toward the middle of last year mentally I was getting frustrated because it had been a little bit easier for me coming through the ranks to win. I’ve won in everything that I’ve sat down in to this point. Definitely I was putting a little bit too much pressure on myself to perform and it just ended up causing me more damage than it helped.”

Poole has earned three top-10 finishes so far this season and looks to add a win to his career stats during his 59th Xfinity career start.

The Sparks Energy 300 will begin at 1 p.m. ET on FOX. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Coors Light Pole Qualifying will follow the Xfinity broadcast.
