It was a picture-perfect day in Dover, Deleware, as 40 drivers took to Dover International Speedway for the 36th Annual OneMain Financial 200 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In addition to the all-important win and trophy, NASCAR Xfinity Series full-time drivers were vying for the $100,000 Dash4Cash prize.

At race’s end, it was Kyle Larson who took the checkered flag for the 10-caution race. Larson started from the pole position and led the most laps with 137. Rookie and sixth-place finisher William Byron went home with $100,000 Dash4Cash prize, beating his JR Motorsports teammate Elliott Sadler in seventh.

It was Larson’s first victory and sixth top-10 finish in six races at Dover International Speedway, and his third win and sixth top-10 finish in 2017. Today’s win was Larson’s eighth in 97 NASCAR Xfinity Series races.

“It’s really cool to win [the Miles the Monster Trophy],” said Larson. “This is one of those recognizable trophies on our circuit, so to win here is special. I’ve had some good runs here in the past, but I’ve had some average runs, so I knew our car was going to be really good as soon as we unloaded it,” he added.

Larson will line up in the fifth starting position going for a weekend sweep tomorrow as the NASCAR Energy Cup Series takes to the track for the AAA 400 Drive for Autism. Last March he swept the XFINITY and Cup races at Fontana. “To get a second sweep this early in the season would be cool,” he said. “[Sunday] will be an extremely tough race.”

The NASCAR Xfinity Series rolls into Pocono Raceway for the Pocono 250 on Saturday, June 10 with Elliott Sadler leading the point standings by 12 points over Justin Allgaier.
